Most influenced by the likes of Ray Dalio, Fred Wilson, Brad Feld, Thomas Sowell, Malcolm Gladwell, and Ryan Holiday, Mr. Leander leverages his natural instinct for business along with his expertise in transactional law to seize opportunities as they present themselves and to catalyze entrepreneurial growth wherever possible.
His commitment to his clients’ success has earned him the Martindale Hubbell Platinum Client Champion honor annually from 2020 to 2024. In addition, Mr. Leander has previously been recognized by the Albany Business Review’s 40 Under 40 (2020) and was nominated multiple times for the Upstate Venture Ecosystem Awards (2017-2018) issued to practitioners who have been a catalyst for the success of one or more startup companies and the entrepreneurial ecosystem at large.
Passionate about helping entrepreneurs, Mr. Leander has volunteered at Start Fast Accelerator as a mentor. He has also worked with the Small Enterprise Economic Development (SEED) and the University of Albany, teaching seminars on legal issues for startups and small businesses. As an Advisory Board Member at the New York-based Tech Valley Center of Gravity, Mr. Leander set office hours for people seeking legal guidance on starting and managing product based and manufacturing businesses.
Mr. Leander earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Albany Law School, Albany, New York where he focused on Business law, Securities and Civil litigation. He went on to receive his LL.M. in Securities and Financial Regulation, Corporate Law, and Business Transactions from Georgetown University Law Center while also externing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Division of Corporation Finance, Office of Small Business Policy.
Mr. Leander is licensed to practice in that state of New York and Washington, D.C. He lives in upstate New York with his family.
